It was a sunny Sunday morning and the covid restrictions in England, now allow us to travel outside of our local area. We popped over to York for an early morning of treasure hunting.
What is Treasure Hunt York?
A game in which players search for hidden objects by following a trail of clues
A hunt for ‘treasure’ around the streets of York. A carefully planned out route with lots of fun clues and hidden signs to hunt out. You are lead to each clue until you have completed the game. You get to go at your own pace, there is no rush. The game lasts around 2 hours-ish if you don’t stop for ice cream in the middle as we did.
What do I need?
You will need a mobile phone with data, a good pair of walking shoes and a sense of adventure. No sense of direction required (as proved by myself)
You play in your own bubble. It’s private and self-guided so you can avoid other people. Which is a COVID must in this day and age!
Did we find the Treasure in York?
YES! We did!! After a fun few hours, at times I got frustrated and sulked a little when I couldn’t find the answer. That’s why it’s good to bring a friend(s) along to help think outside the box. If you get really stuck you can ask the game for help, it will give you more clues. If you get really stuck you can get the answer to move on.
